Deputy Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah, has labeled Mustapha Gbandi, Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as a coward.
According to Owusu Bempah, during the Assin North by-election, Gbandi begged for mercy on his knees when confronted by Bempah and his team.
Bempah questions Gbandi’s ability to stand up to Wontumi, a prominent NPP figure, and doubts his ability to follow through on threats.
Bempah asserts that NPP members are fearless and prepared for the December elections, while NDC members, except for the late JJ Rawlings, are cowards. He confidently declares that if Bawumia is declared President-elect, they will not hesitate to defend the results.
Bempah challenges Gbandi to face Wontumi, saying, “Can you, Gbandi, face Wontumi? Can you stand before him even for a second?” He claims that Gbandi ran away when confronted by Wontumi and himself in Assin Praso during the by-election.
Bempah warns the NDC to be prepared for the December elections, saying, “We are fiercer and more prepared for December elections, they should be ready for us.”
