Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has taken a direct swipe at Special Prosecutor (SP), Kissi Agyebeng for asking “stupid” and ‘useless” questions in his interrogation about the heist that took place at the home of former Sanitation Minister, Cecelia Dapaah.
Speaking on the Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem show on Wontumi TV, lawyer Ampaw stated that under the evidence decree act, the SP can’t ask questions during any proceedings with the intention to ride on it to get the former minister end up self-incriminating herself.
“It is a stupid question from the Special Prosecutor to ask Cecelia where she got her money from. Tell Kissi Agyebeng that it is the most useless questions to ask Cecelia to show him where she got her money from. Under the evidence decree act, nobody can ask anybody questions during any proceedings to ride on it for self-incrimination”, he argued.
He sounded a word of caution to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to come out and defend their beleaguered member, adding that they will leave to regret if they fail to do so.
“The Special Prosecutor is also damaging the party and the party must defend her (Cecelia Dapaah). You will leave to regret if you don’t defend the poor woman”, he said.
