A Communications team Member for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Kwadwo Agyei Yeboah has stressed that proceeds derived from cutting off salaries from Chief Executive Officers who work at State Owned Enterprises, can be used to establish more factories.
The NPP man who is also known as Nana Kay raised this on Movement In The Morning Political Show and suggested that ‘’if we are to reduce salaries of some CEOs we will witness the number of jobs that will be created. If we are to cut off the salary by 10,000 cedis we will be marvelled at the number of State businesses that will be established”.
“If we decrease the salary we will create more jobs and we will no more take loans for the 1 district 1 factory agenda’’, Nana Kay who is also vying for the Asante Akyem Constituency First Vice Chairman indicated.
Organized labour on the 2022 May Day celebration, questioned why Chief Executive Officers and heads of some loss making State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) are earning salaries that are three times higher than that of the President of the Republic.
Nana Kay therefore called on government to re-look at the salaries of government workers, especially CEOs.
