The Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has joined vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to rejoice over the commissioning of a 100km roads in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
In a video, members of the party, Dr Bawumia, Hon Simon Osei-Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister and other constituency executives were seen rejoicing and singing praises for the much awaited project.
On Monday, 1st August, 2022, Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia commissioned the 100km Kumasi inner city roads in the Ashanti Region. The sod for the first phase of the project was cut on 13th December, 2019 at Kentenkrono in the Oforikrom Municipality.
This according to report, states the total number of kilometers of roads completed by the Akufo-Addo led government from 2017 is 1,180.2, which is more than double of the 503.44 roads that was constructed between 2009 and 2016 under the Mahama led administration.
