The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said voting massively for vice President Mahamudu Bawumia will send a strong signal to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that they are prepared to extend their stay in government.
“Ashanti Region has decided and we going to vote massively like we did on 26th August. We are going to give him 100%. As the dean of all the Regional chairmen, we want 100% for Bawumia. We want to send a signal to the NDC that we love Bawumia from our heart and he is going to be the next President of Ghana”, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi said to an excited crowd at Gushegu.
He went on to state that the good works of vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has been noticed by Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu; who has even christened him Nana Agyeman.
On November 4th, the NPP will organize its presidential primary to elect a flagbearer for the 2024 general election.
Vice President Bawumia is heavily tipped to win the contest.
