Former Parliamentary aspirant for Kwabre East constituency, Daniel Agyenim Boateng, has stated that comparing former President John Dramani Mahama to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is like comparing an SHS graduate to a PHD holder.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio he explained that the former President Mahama had the opportunity to become a Vice President and later on became the President. However, the Vice President Dr. Bawumia hasn’t been a President yet, he’s been able to do a lot more that has improved upon the socio-economic development of the citizenry as compared to what former President Mahama was able to do.
“There is a huge difference between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Dramani Mahama when it comes to comparison. It is like comparing an SHS graduate to a PHD holder. Reason being that John Dramani Mahama had an opportunity to become vice President. At that time, he was serving the president (The Late Atta Mills). He later on became a President. As compared to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, he has never been a president, so that comparison is not needed”, he said.
He furthered that former President Mahama, should be ashamed for comparing himself to Mahama.
“Mahama took bribes during his tenure at the presidency yet was not satisfied. He spent Ghana’s money unnecessarily as vice President so why compare him to Bawumia…”, he quizzed.
