Concern At Barcelona Growing Over Dani Olmo Registration As Economic Lever Will Be Insufficient

Barcelona are facing a financial crunch as they race to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for the second half of the season.

The club used the emergency injury rule to register them initially due to Andreas Christensen’s Achilles issue, but now has just three weeks, until December 31, to secure the funds to register them permanently.

If not, both players will be unable to play again this season. Despite efforts to raise funds through deals such as the Nike agreement and selling VIP box rights, Barcelona still faces a shortfall.

President Joan Laporta is reportedly seeking a “miracle investor,” possibly from Qatar, but so far, his efforts have been unsuccessful, raising concerns about the club’s financial transparency.
