Concerned Citizens of Antoa Petition Otumfuo Over Unfit Candidate for Antoa Stool

A group of concerned citizens of Antoa has petitioned Otumfuo, the Asantehene, over the nomination of Abusuapanin Kofi Ofori as the candidate for the Antoa stool.

The group claims that Abusuapanin Kofi Ofori is unfit to ascend the throne due to his well-documented immoral character.

According to the petition, Abusuapanin Kofi Ofori was found guilty of engaging in sexual intercourse with a married woman, Afia Tutu, which led to her divorce. Additionally, he was also found guilty of sleeping with two sisters from the same parentage and paid compensation to the parents.

The concerned citizens argue that these acts disqualify Abusuapanin Kofi Ofori from becoming the Antoahene or any chief in Asante. They also accuse the five sub-chiefs who selected Abusuapanin Kofi Ofori of lying and violating their oath of office.

The group is calling on Otumfuo to revisit the selection process and appoint a legitimate chief who can serve Antoaman well. They claim that they have been deprived of fine specimens of royals who have the requisite knowledge, skills, and education to uplift Antoa.

The petitioners have submitted documentary evidence to support their claims and are seeking an audience with Otumfuo to establish the bad character of Abusuapanin Kofi Ofori and the violation of the great oath by the sub-chiefs.
