The deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Rabi Salifu has told the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that questioning the use of the Covid-19 funds is baseless and dead on arrival.
She said this when he joined Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on 22nd September, 2022.
Speaking she said that ‘’the $430 million was well spent- distribution of free vaccines, the purchase of protective equipment’s, veronica bucket, tissues soaps for schools, hospitals and institutions, fumigation exercise, taking care of covid-19 patients through quarantine, free water, electricity and food. NDC’s are questioning what we used the funds for yet there were a lot of ghost names who were receiving money from government’s coffers, until the NPP assumed power and introduced the digitization agenda”.
”What moral right do they have to question the usage of the funds?”, she quizzed
”The Nana-Addo led administration ensured the passage of the right to information bill because we believe in transparency. Their question on what the funds were used for is dead on arrival, they should hold their breath”, she added.
