Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah, has unleashed a scathing attack on the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing its leaders of “cowardice” and vowing to take decisive action.
In an exclusive interview on Movement TV with Kwaku Dawuro, Bempah expressed frustration over the NPP’s approach to dealing with the NDC, citing instances where party leaders prioritized peace over standing up to perceived injustices.
“We were not given the opportunity to respond… We won’t sit idly by while things go awry,” Bempah stated, referencing a recent incident at the residence of former President Mahama. “When we decided to meet the NDC, our leaders stopped us, citing peace. I await the day leaders empower us to confront the NDC; then we’ll see who’s stronger.”
Owusu Bempah, known for his outspoken nature, issued a stern warning to the NDC, cautioning against disputing election results that favor Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Mustapha Gbandi, Deputy General Secretary, should have asserted his authority during the Assin North incident,” Bempah added. “Woe betide any NDC member who contests Bawumia’s presidential victory.
We’ll show them our strength… From Asiedu Nketia to the last party member, they’re all cowards,” he said.
