Former President John Mahama has been exposed for attempting to throw dust into the eyes of the public by alleging that Justices at the Supreme Court have turned the judiciary into a joke as a result of their biased rulings.
Mr. David Boakye who is a staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), rubbished the statements by Mr. John Mahama noting that the 2020 flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) told a blatant liar by trying to accuse the Supreme Court judges of political bias.
Former President Mahama described the judiciary as “broken” under the leadership of Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah. He there stated that he hopes that a “new Chief Justice” takeover and lead an image-cleansing crusade in the future.
But speaking on the issue on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Mr. David Boakye, mentioned Justices whose political umbilical cord is tied to the NDC.
According to him, Justice George Buadi, once served as the Member of Parliament for Amenfi East on the ticket of the NDC but is currently a Judge.
He added that before leaving office as President, Mr. Mahama nominated Justice Gabriel Pwamang and Justice Yaw Apau to the Supreme court but has quickly forgotten about it.
Mr. Boakye described the NDC as a party that engages “in crime” but come out to pretend their hands are clean.
