Bono Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, David Boakye, has cautioned delegates to reject anyone who will not be of help to the party.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, David advised delegates to put into consideration how beneficial people who contest for the primaries can be to the party, and avoid favoritism as collective efforts to better the party is what they seek for.
He said ”One thing is that, no matter how the regional executives, national officers or government intervene, the delegates must be bold enough to reject whoever is contesting, if they will not be beneficial to the party. Sometimes we assume we will win no matter what, so we opt for just anyone to contest but do you consider the impact of the person in parliament for the party.
So as we sit here, there are some members of the party who have been missed after they left, because there was no way they would have lost in the general election had it not been for the primaries.”
