A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ishmael Adams, has advised Ghanaians to be moderate in their expectations from the government, as it’s still working round the clock to get the economy back on track.
According to him, there are a lot of projects and policies which were implemented prior to the global crisis and that improved upon the socio-economic life of the populace and therefore, Ghanaians should understand that the current economic crisis is caused by external forces.
“It will be prudent that we all manage our expectations from the government appointees but work hard to ensure the NPP retains power in 2024. Because in any unlikely event that the NDC captures power, the gains made by the NPP will be eroded. It all starts with party members. We must be united in order to ensure that we are able to capture the hearts of the populace”, he told Oheneba Kingsley on Ghana Nti show, on Wontumi Radio.
He further noted that even in the face of the global crisis, the government of the day is still implementing several policies and visions which are geared towards the development of the country.
