The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has poked fun at the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) claiming that they don’t even have the heart to accept a ‘simple’ reshuffle amongst their parliamentary members.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that he surprised the NDC can’t even handle an internal reshuffle among their rank and file at parliament but were the loudest calling on President Akufo-Addo to reshuffle his ministers.
In an exclusive interview with Wontumionline.com, Chairman Wontumi stated that he is surprised “the loudmouths in the NDC are insulting and fighting just because there have been simple changes to their leadership in parliament”.
“So, John Mahama, Asiedu Nketia and the other headmasters in the NDC are saying that they can’t tolerate reshuffling? But they were the same hypocrites calling on President Akufo-Addo to reshuffle his ministers just some weeks ago. They are disgraceful men with no honor”, Chairman Wontumi said.
On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the leadership of the NDC in Parliament was changed. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson takes over from Haruna Iddrisu as the new Minority Leader.
Ellembelle MP, Kofi Armah Buah will replace James Klutse Avedzi as Deputy Minority Leader. Kwame Agbodza is now the Chief Whip for the opposition side and will be deputized by Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Ada legislator, Comfort Doyo Ghansah respectively.
