Lawyer and Former Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, Honorable Yaw Baah, has cautioned his fellow Parliamentarians to save themselves from embarrassment by trying to prove a point, when in actual sense, they do not know the law.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement Tv/Wontumi radio, Honorable Baah advised Members of Parliament to seek knowledge when they lack it, to prevent any form of embarrassment when they speak. He stated that as an advocate of the law, it is required for them to learn it, and decipher on what matters to speak on, as well as issues that require the intervention of lawyers.
He added that ”Supreme court has spoken and when it speaks, it is bigger than any article in the constitution, because they have interpreted the law. Now i will beseech the parliamentarians and let them know that it costs nothing to seek knowledge when they lack it. They have knowledge but not about everything, this particular area we spoke about requires law not grammar, legal grammar so if you lack the knowledge don’t embarrass yourself. You know some of our party members have practised that which is very appalling because they don’t know what is law, and because their knowledge is within a different area, so within the perimeters of the law, let the lawyers talk.”
