Dr. Bawumia has been cautioned over the choice of his running mate.
“Don’t select a running mate who will contest you in the future”, he simply put as he again cautioned the 2024 flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to select a running mate whose vision wouldn’t align to his.
The first test of bravery of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia according to Kusi Boafo, would be the choice of his running mate.
“We shouldn’t go by a populist decision”, he said.
The Chief Executive Officer for Public Sector Reforms believes it will be suicidal for Bawumia to select a running mate who wouldn’t sell his vision.
“Pick someone who can sell your vision for long, not someone who will compete you in the future”, he said in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show.
Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo also urged Dr. Bawumia not to tag along with a candidate whose strength is only popularity.
“Chose someone who will realign with your decision… Sometime we want NPP to sustain power and not popularity. You can be popular and without resources to develop it, it becomes useless”, he advised.
