Ghanaian-Gambian actress and socialite, Princess Shyngle, has advised women not to allow societal pressure to push them into marriage.
Drawing from her experience as a three-time divorcee, she expressed concern about the negative impact of societal expectations, which often push women into marriages they are not ready for.
Shyngle highlighted how many women live in unhappy marriages but feel compelled to maintain a façade of happiness to meet societal standards.
She encouraged single women to prioritize their personal happiness over societal approval, stressing that life can be more fulfilling without rushing into marriage.
She also issued a caution, urging women to be observant of their partners’ behavior, particularly regarding sexuality.
She claimed that some men, especially those who are homosexual, may seek to marry women to hide their true sexual preferences.
Her advice calls for women to marry when they feel it is right for them, rather than succumbing to external pressures.
