Renowned radio show host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu, has issued a stern warning to Ghanaians, including executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), against using Ashanti regional chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, as a scapegoat for their personal wealth.
Speaking on his popular morning show, Wontumi’s Morning Show, Oheneba Nana Asiedu emphasized that Chairman Wontumi has been a loyal servant of the NPP and has made significant sacrifices for the party’s growth and success.
He noted that during the party’s difficult times, particularly after the previous elections, Chairman Wontumi was the first to publicly address the party’s defeat, showing his humility and commitment to the party.
Oheneba Nana Asiedu cautioned Mr. Aryee Quay Otoo and other party executives, who have begun complaining and criticizing Chairman Wontumi, to be careful not to use him as a scapegoat for their own personal wealth. He acknowledged that while Chairman Wontumi is not perfect and can make mistakes, his contributions to the party’s success cannot be ignored.
“It is unfair for anyone to try to use Chairman Wontumi as a scapegoat for their own personal wealth,” Oheneba Nana Asiedu stated.
“Chairman Wontumi has been a loyal servant of the NPP, and his sacrifices for the party’s growth and success should be recognized and respected,” he added.
