A member of the NPP Communications team, Richard Agyemang, has expressed his full support for Chairman Wontumi’s bid for the national chairmanship of the party. According to Richard, Wontumi’s impressive track record as the chairman of the Ashanti region makes him the ideal candidate.
‘Someone who has managed the stronghold of the party and served three consecutive terms as the chairman of the region has clearly demonstrated their capability to lead. To cast doubt on Wontumi’s ability to run for the national chairmanship would be a clear indication of immaturity in politics,’ Richard said.
While acknowledging that everyone is eligible to contest, Mr. Agyemang advised potential opponents against challenging Wontumi, stating that they would be wasting their time and resources. ‘Chairman Wontumi will definitely win,’ he asserted.
He praised Wontumi’s leadership skills, describing him as a perfect gentleman who is calm, well-composed, and dedicated to supporting the party with strength, knowledge, resources, and capacity.
“Despite facing insults and backlashes, he has never resigned or gotten angry. Instead, he receives them in good faith and remains committed to the party,” Richard said.
He concluded by stating that Wontumi has proven himself beyond reasonable doubt and that he will support him in his bid for the national chairmanship.
