Government spokesperson in charge of social service, Alhaji Yussif Fofana has described Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia as a gem.
According to him, the Vice President has changed the face of politics in Ghana. Noting that no running mate who later became a Vice President has worked and performed better like Dr. Bawumia has.
“He’s not an armchair vice President. He contributed to the success of NPP in 2016 because he single handedly marched the NDC boot for boot. Every Ghanaian knows that Dr. Bawumia is a gem. Even during the height of covid-19 in 2020, he stood firm and ensured Ghana ‘s economy wasn’t badly affected like it happened in other countries.”, he spoke on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
“Look at the kind of impact the free SHS program has created. Some headmistress and headmaster are still illegally taking monies as huge as Ghs3000 from students. So, imagine what would have happened without free SHS policies. President Akufo-Addo and the government have taken upon themselves to absorb these fees. If Mahama talks about reviewing all that it means is that he wants to cancel it. Already he’s on record to have said that even if he gets 2billion cedis, he won’t spend on free SHS policy”, he added.
He furthered that if Ghanaians do not see the effort of President Akufo-Addo and Mahama now, they will remember them in the future.
