Communications Specialist at the Office of the President, Lady Vera Wiredu has noted that the only reason for which the NDC has changed its leadership in Parliament is because of fear and panic.
According to her, they are doing so because of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia whom they know remains a threat to their fortunes of winning elections 2024.
“The current happenings now with regards to the NDC in parliament is simply due to fear and panic. It’s basically because of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia- they know that he’s changing the narrative in the northern regions so far as elections are concerned”, she told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show.
Adding that “the northerns have realized that the NPP, which use to be the Northerners People’s Party is a Bonafide property of the Northerners- and just as Fiifi Kwetey has said on record that the Ewes should identify the NDC as a religion, the northerners should equally come back to their root, which is the NPP, we are ready to warmly accept them”.
She furthered that the northerners should take note that the NDC don’t want them and hence the reason they wouldn’t even consult them when taking certain decisions which involves their leaders in Parliament.
“This is how best they can pay you back after helping them win several elections. Don’t worry at all. We are ever ready to accept you. NPP is where you hail from and His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has paved the way for you all to follow”, she stressed.
