Press Secretary to the Running Mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ama Bempomaa Mensah, has emphasized the transformative power of digitalization in addressing Ghana’s economic challenges.
According to her, Ghana’s digitalization policy, introduced by the NPP, has the potential to single-handedly revolutionize the country’s economy, currently valued at $75 billion.
Ama Bempomaa highlighted the importance of visionary leadership, citing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the ideal candidate to drive Ghana’s digital transformation.
She noted that Apple’s success is largely due to its international operating system and software, and similarly, Ghana can leverage digitalization to propel its growth.
The benefits of digitalization are already being felt in Ghana, with Mensah pointing out that it has made life easier for citizens, saving time and increasing efficiency.
She urged Ghanaians to be discerning in their choice between the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), emphasizing the need for development-oriented leadership.
Mensah also praised Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to digitalization, citing his initiatives such as the National Digital Property Addressing System, mobile money interoperability, and the National Identification System (Ghana Card).
These initiatives have improved financial inclusion, streamlined services, and enhanced national security.
