Dr. Bawumia’s Policy Key to Ghana’s Progress If Implemented By Gov’t- Dr. Gideon Boako*

Bawumia Doesn’t Hold A British Citizenship- Spokesperson

Member of Parliament for Tano North constituency, Dr. Gideon Boako, believes that Ghana will become a progressive country if the government adopts Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2024 policy, particularly in taxation.

In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio, Dr. Boako explained that Dr. Bawumia’s policy involves introducing private sector companies to assist in road construction and school building, reducing taxes in Ghana.

Dr. Boako highlighted that most hostel facilities in Ghana’s tertiary institutions are constructed by private sector companies, which will be paid by the government over 30 years. This approach, he noted, will create employment opportunities for Ghanaian youth in the private sector, ultimately reducing taxes.

Dr. Boako also emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to tax reforms, citing the potential for market vendors’ taxes to contribute 2% to Ghana’s GDP. Additionally, Dr. Boako clarified that he did not suggest that removing the E-levy would cause confusion between the government and the IMF.
