A volunteering group declaring its support for Dr. Bawumia, ‘United Zongo for Bawumia’ has called on all members and sympathizers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially the Zongo and slum communities to ensure that they remain united and rally behind Dr. Bawumia, to ensure he becomes the next President.
Contained in a statement signed by the group’s National Communications Director, Kwabena Agyei, the group congratulated the flagbearer and all other partners that worked assiduously in ensuring that Dr. Bawumia emerged victorious.
“We at United Zongo for Bawumia wish to express utmost appreciation to all Imams, Mallams, Clergy and Christian community, the traditional and other religious leaders who have contributed and promise to contribute going forward through their prayers and many diverse ways to achieve this success”, the statement reads.
The group, United Zongo for Bawumia went further to state that “it is equally worth mentioning that the victory of Dr. Bawumia will be meaningless unless it is operated and conducted to formulate a non-fragmented party for election 2024. In this light we at United Zongo for Bawumia appeal to all blue-blooded Ghanaians to eschew all divisionary semantics and conducts”.
The statement stressed that as a party, they owe the next generation a developed country and the best way to predict the future is to create it together.
