Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana also the Deputy Minister for Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Honourable Gifty Twum-Ampofo, has inspected some ongoing road projects in the Eastern Region.
Together with Osabarima Adusei Peasah IV, Akyem Tafo Chief and a team from Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), Eastern Region led by Ing Asomani Nyarko, Regional Chief Manager, toured some areas including the Old Tafo Akyem Engen Junction through Akyem New Tafo to Kukuratumi Ofori Panin Junction Road construction site, where the GWCL engineers have commenced work on relocating the major water pipeline hindering the road project to inspect work done so far on Wednesday 13th December 2023.
Honourable Gifty Twum-Ampofo expressing her satisfaction at the pace of work ongoing, explained that the major hurdle being the relocation of the main water pipeline by the Ghana Water Company has kicked started and progressing steadily and assured the general public that the project will be completed as scheduled.
The hardworking Legislator, thanked commuters, motorists and the general public for their patience as far as the road construction is concerned and pleaded with them to tolerate the intermittent disruptions of water supply due to the relocation of the main pipeline.
She advised motorist to moderate their speed on the stretch to reduce the amount of dusts that emanate to people’s homes and shops and avoid any form of road accidents.
Honourable Gifty Twum-Ampofo further, pledged the Nana Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration’s commitment in ensuring socio-economic development in the enclave and the country as a whole.
She therefore called on all to rally behind Government to break the eight (8) year electoral cycle for more developmental projects.
