Eddie Nketiah Vows To Deliver More For Crystal Palace After Debut Draw

English-Ghanaian forward Eddie Nketiah has expressed his commitment to contributing more to Crystal Palace following his debut in a 2-2 draw against Leicester City at Selhurst Park.

Nketiah, who completed his transfer from Arsenal on the deadline day, played the full 90 minutes in his first match for the Eagles.

Despite the draw, he was pleased to make his debut and is eager to make an impact.

“I’m really happy to make my debut, but I’m disappointed not to secure the three points,” Nketiah said after the game.

“The team pushed hard and created some good chances, so we deserved more. It’s a solid start, and there’s definitely more to come from me and the team.”

This match marked Nketiah’s first appearance of the season, having not featured for Arsenal before his move. He noted,

“It felt good to play 90 minutes again. I’m not yet at my best, but I’m confident I’ll improve and help the team as the season progresses.”

Reflecting on the match, Nketiah highlighted the team’s resilience. “We made a disappointing start, but coming back showed our character.

Even when we conceded after halftime, we rallied together. I tried to keep everyone positive because I knew we would create chances and score.”

Nketiah concluded, “It’s not the ideal result, but we’ll take the point and focus on improving for the next game.”
