A former Member of Parliament and a former deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. George Oduro has emphatically stated that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), will make history in the 2024 elections as the only political party in the 4th republic to have ruled the country more than 8 years.
In a political discussion with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, the former lawmaker stated that although it wouldn’t be a walk in the park, the NPP will emerge victorious in the 2024 general elections.
Buttressing his point, Mr. Oduro said, “election 2024 is a serious election which cannot be disputed. But Chairman Wontumi’s victory in the Ashanti region which is history is a clear indication that the NPP will repeat the same thing in the general election.
He made this comment in a bid to advise delegates who will be electing national executives of the party in July to ensure they vote for what he described as visionary leaders who will help the party break the eight year cycle.
“We need serious executives. Hence delegates must choose dedicated executives who think of the party first and are tried and tested. I wouldn’t write anyone off. Although all those competing for various positions are competent and capable of occupying the various positions, for the sake of maintaining power, let’s vote for people who stand tall among their contenders”, he stated.
