A communication team member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Paul Amaning, has advised elected executives of the party to ensure that there’s unity among the party members as they prepare for the 2024 elections.
Reacting to the results of the internal elections of the party on Movement In The Morning Political Show on Wontumi FM/Movement TV, Mr. Amaning said “the current executives of the party should find a way to bring back all disgruntled members of the party. This is the surest way of ensuring we are able to win power in election 2024″.
Paul Amaning contested for the 2nd Vice Chairmanship in the Eastern region but couldn’t emerge victorious after he had rescinded his decision to contest for the regional Chairmanship position for reasons he said is best known to himself.
According to him, although he lost the elections he’s never discouraged and he’s ready to serve the party like he has always done.
“Some of us are not ready to forsake the party because we lost an internal election we are ready to serve wholeheartedly as we have always done. The elections have so far been peaceful just that some candidates took things too personal and thus after losing are unable to re-establish contact with the winners”, he stressed.
“The onus lies on the elected executives to ensure the NPP breaks the eight year cycle. I’m therefore calling for a united front going into the 2024 polls. The elected executives should ensure they settle differences among party members and candidates of the internal elections”, he urged.
The NPP has elected executives of the polling stations, constituencies, regional and is expected to hold its national delegates conference in July.
