The Member of Parliament for Tano North constituency and Minister of state at the ministry of Works and housing, Honourable Freda Prempeh, has said that even the giant economies calling for the shot were not spared the brunt of the global crisis.
According to her, although that doesn’t mean the government will relent on its effort to ensure that the economy bounces back.
“In 2016 when President Akufo-Addo came to power, we witness the massive project and infrastructures the government was able to implement. There were a lot of things he did prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 and Russia-Ukraine war and there were many applauses from Ghanaians”, she spoke on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
“So, we should be able to understand that we are not in normal times with the current situation we find ourselves. I keep reiterating that it’s not peculiar to Ghana nor Kenya, South Africa and Europe but even in America, those calling for the shot are grumbling”, she told Kwaku Dawuro the host.
She’s notes that Joe Biden is always speaking to that effect- stressing that it bent but not broken and therefore it’s like fixing a broken glass, it will not be easy but gradually there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
