Even The NDC Never Hyped ‘Kume Preko’ Demo Because It Was Unreasonable- Adenta Kumi

A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Alfred Ababio Kumi who’s better known as Adenta Kumi has said that the basis for which the ‘kume preko’ demonstration was held is unreasonable.

He noted that it was for this reason that even the opposition NDC, never said much about the demonstration which could have inured to their benefit.

“President Akufo-Addo through quality leadership has ensure that there is at least the Availability and Accessibility of Fuel, Electricity, Food and other commodities on the market. What Ghanaians are experiencing now is the issue of Affordability. However, President Akufo-Addo has announced to the Country the various measures being put in place to ensure the Affordability of fuel, food, and Cedi-Dollar especially for cushioning the conditions of traders who need dollars for importation”, he spoke on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV with Kwaku Dawuro.

According to him, In the era of John Mahama, Ghanaians faced the tripartite problems of Availability, Accessibility and Affordability resulting in the collapse of businesses and worsening living conditions of Ghanaians.

“I thought every learned person was wise and reasonable until I started following the thinking patterns of lawyer Martin Kpebu recently then my perception changes completely. Yes, currently there is high cost of fuel and prices of goods and services but frankly speaking we should thank God and President Akufo-Addo that there is no shortage of fuel, food and essential goods on the market”, he concluded.

This comes after scores of Ghanaians last Saturday embarked on a peaceful demonstration to protest the high cost of living, and called on the President, his Vice and the minister of finance to resign. Dubbed: “Kume Preko Reloaded”, the demonstration was convened by the outspoken private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu.
