Member of Parliament for Mpraeso constituency, Honorable Davis Ansah Opoku, has applauded the President Akuffo Addo for commissioning more companies than the late President Kwame Nkrumah.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Hon Ansah Opoku noted some of the achievements of President Akuffo Addo under the New Patriotic Party, such as free shs amongst others. Hon Ansah Opoku stated emphatically that companies that were set up and commissioned by the first President of Ghana, who gained independence for the country, President Kwame Nkrumah, comes no where close to the companies built and commissioned by the sitting President, His Excellency Nana Addo.
”The kind of job we’ve come to do in Ghana is no child’s play. For instance, If you look at free education, the kind of investment the Government has put in it and its management, it is something that must compel us to praise the government. As we speak now, we can honestly say we are not financially stable, but despite the difficulties we go through our President Akuffo Addo has maintained the free shs and its exceptional, as well as over 120 fully functioning Factories under the1District 1Factory.
I’ll maintain the fact that factories built by President Kwame Nkrumah cannot be compared to the ones set up by President Akuffo Addo. The exciting part is most of his factories were driven by government, so they all collapsed when there was a change of Government, but with Akuffo Addo’s government he has empowered private sectors and individuals to establish the Factories that are still functioning.” he said.
