Firefighters Avert Gas Tanker Explosion After Accident At Gbawe

A gas tanker was involved in an accident at the Gbawe-Agape top base in the Greater Accra region.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday morning, led to the leakage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the tanker.

After the accident, the tanker fell on its side.

Firefighters from the Anyaa and Circle fire stations swiftly responded to the incident and cooled the tanker to prevent any potential explosion.

In a statement, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) cautioned residents to avoid using any open heat source.

The GNFS assured the public that they were working hard to protect lives and property.

The cause of the incident is yet to be established.
