A communications team member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freda Sarpong Agyemang, has stated that it has become necessary that President Akufo-Addo reshuffles his appointees because some of them were sleeping on the job and it had become the concern of most political watchers, and even the ordinary man on the street.
“Most of these appointees, by their actions and inactions, believe that they are untouchable; and a reshuffle doesn’t necessarily mean that the appointees particularly Ministers, should be dismissed from their positions but rather they should be relocated to various areas to infuse new ideas and enthusiasm into the delivery process”, she told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show.
Adding that “those who have been occupied certain positions for over 4 years are now redundant. They are utilizing a routine set of ideas, but if you conduct a reshuffle, fresh ideas will come in to shake up the system.”
“If President Akufo-Addo is able to reshuffle his Ministers and other appointees who are sleeping on the job, it will reinforce the fact that the reserve bench is truly occupied with qualified players ready to step on the field to perform, she stressed.
