Former President John Mahama’s promise to prioritize sharing of piglets as a way of creating jobs for the youth has been met with anger by the the Ahafo Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere.
Reacting to the news on the Wontumi Morning Show, the NPP Chairman took a direct swipe at Mr. Mahama stating that he doesn’t have the “brains” to rule Ghana based on his promise to share piglets.
Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere stated that Mr. Mahama’s track record when it comes to handling of animal business is appalling and recalled that whilst serving as President, he (Mahama) ventured into guinea fowl business on behalf of the state and ended up duping Ghanaians.
“He doesn’t have the brains to rule the country. I don’t hate him. Would a class one pupil even speak like him? How can he say he would share ‘prako’ (piglets) to create jobs for the youth?” the Ahafo Regional Chairman of the NPP wondered.
It would be recalled that during the tenure of former President John Mahama, he led the nation to invest heavily in guinea fowl business.
In the end, the supposed Guinea fowls were said to have flown to Burkina Faso and therefore cost the state some good amount of money.
He therefore challenged Mr. Mahama to account for the runaway guinea fowls before promising to share piglets.
He simply put: “Have you been able to return the ‘akonfem’ (guinea fowls) to Ghana before promising us piglets?”
