A communication team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Victor Owusu Ansah, has raised questions surrounding the posture of the Ghana Police Service when it comes to arresting and using brute force on senior members of the NPP but pamper criminals associated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Victor Owusu Ansah stated that the way the police service is treating Razak Avoliya, a member of the NDC who has been arrested for instigating political violence baffles him considering that they had to issue a public notice before going after him when they haven’t done that before.
He stated that the Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a senior member of the NPP, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong was not accorded that respect but arrested in Rambo style by the police some years ago.
Mr. Victor Owusu Ansah continued that recently, the Bono Regional Chairman for the NPP, Kwame Baffoe Abronye was also arrested in similar and added that Rev. Owusu Bempah, was disrespected in the same manner by the police because of his close association to the ruling NPP government.
He therefore wondered why the police hadn’t gone in to pick the NDC legislator for North Tongu who has been caught on video kicking and stepping on court documents which was served to him.
