The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the prestigious Radio Television Personality(RTP) Awards, Prince Mackay, on Wednesday July 12, 2022, launched the Ghana Wedding Awards. A new annual award scheme yet to commence.
The organizer of the awards scheme asserted in an interview on Movement Showbiz that the new initiative will be bigger and sustainable than the RTP awards and Ghana Music Awards(GMA) as a whole.
‘It’ll sustain because weddings will never die and I am saying this on record that the Ghana Wedding Awards will become bigger than the RTP awards and it’ll even become bigger than the Ghana music awards”, he emphasized.
In justifying his assertion Prince Mackay said that “one may ask if I’m serious at all, yes I’m serious because it has taught us and we know that in this country there are more wedding events organized than music awards and a lot of people spend huge sums of money on weddings than any event’’.
The recently launched event seeks to reward excellent and hardworking efforts of wedding planners, DJs, MCs, bloggers, brides, grooms, couples and bridal team of various wedding events which are planned and executed well every year.
