A member of the NPP communications team, Patrick Asomaning Darkwa has advised the rank and file of the party that should they lose the general election, Ghanaians will never forgive the party.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he stated that NPP remains the hope of Ghanaians and therefore once the party goes into opposition, the citizenry cannot afford to go through the unbearable pain and anguish they’ve suffered in the hands of the NDC.
“Ghanaians will be greatly disappointed in us, if we fail them. Because the kind of retrogressive they will face is just unendurable. Whatever gains we have made as a political party will be waste. That is exactly what happened in 2008 when we went into opposition. The affordable housing project that H.E. Kufuor had started came to a halt and was never completed up until now. However, when NPP came into power again, the E-blocks school project that former President Fiifi Atta Mills and John Mahama had started, we completed them and have even expanded them into boarding facilities”, he told Kwaku Dawuro the host.Â
He described the NPP as a government that thinks about Ghanaians and will also want to ensure that there’s value for money, for the taxpayer.
“It is for this reason we need to work so hard and ensure that we break-the-eight-year jinx or else we will not disappoint only members, but entire Ghanaians”, he added.Â
“I know that the manifesto and election committee will work hand in hand and ensure that the problems faced by Ghanaians are addressed”, he emphasized.Â
