Ghana’s Future Looks Bleak With NDC- Dr. Fokuo

A lecturer at Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Fokuo, has issued a stark warning about Ghana’s future under the National Democratic Congress (NDC), describing it as “bleak” and devoid of hope.

In a candid assessment on Wontumi TV, Dr. Fokuo criticized the NDC for prioritizing party interests over the nation’s economic well-being, electing party loyalists to positions rather than competent individuals. This approach, he argued, has led to a lack of effective governance and a stalled economy.

Dr. Fokuo also reflected on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) past governance, noting that most appointees were not supportive of party members. He emphasized the need for the NPP to strike a balance between the economy and party interests in their next term.

“The NPP must learn from its past mistakes. we need appointees who can balance the economy and party interests, rather than those who prioritize personal enrichment at the expense of others,” Dr. Fokuo urged.

He cautioned that the NDC’s approach to governance, which he characterized as “party over economy,” would only lead to further stagnation and decline.

“The future looks bleak under the NDC. We don’t see anything good on the horizon. The NDC’s focus on electing party folks rather than competent individuals is a recipe for disaster, ” Dr. Fokuo reiterated.
