Ghana’s Security Threat: Insecurity In Our Universities Is Becoming Problematic- Ellen Ama Daaku

A communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku, has raised concerns over the recent insecurity issues on the various university campuses, stating that its becoming a threat against the country’s security.

Her comment comes after two female students were ganged raped at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), the recent Kantanga-Conti hall clash and the commonwealth-Sarbah clash where various properties were destroyed.

Speaking with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show, Ellen Ama Daaku said that ‘’a girl was gang raped by his boyfriend and his five friends because she refused him when he requested to take a naked video of her for his internet fraudulent activities. The second gang raping on the same campus involved a police officer- we are not done resolving the issue, and University authorities have given students the nod to celebrate hall week and they ended up clashing over nothing, causing mayhem on the various campuses’’.

”They even used liquid bombs-the President has cautioned us to be on a watchout against terrorism, meanwhile we are training some right here in our universities. In a single week 2 students have been ganged raped and halls weeks are causing chaos”, she added.

She advised young ladies to make sure their supposed boyfriends are not their enemies.
