A communicator of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Kofi Ntiamoah has assured Ghanaians that government’s pro-poor policies will not be affected by the International Monitary Fund (IMF) conditionality.
Speaking to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show he said that ”the Russian-Ukraine war has contributed to the country’s economic recession- Ghana would have taken. I sometimes get disappointed in ex-President John Mahama, If anyone will talk against the free SHS policy, it shouldn’t be the ex-President who was a beneficiary of Free SHS policy. The same person who once benefited from the country is now speaking against the policy and calling IMF to rule out the policy just to gain political favor”.
”President Akufo-Addo has promised to protect the flagship policy. IMF directors have been in the country and are engaging people. We will all clap for the NPP. Our pro poor policy will stand the test of time, IMF conditionality will not affect these policies”, he added.
He admonished Ghanaians to continue to have hope in the NPP adding that the Ghana beyond aid agenda will be achieved.
