Paa Kwesi Fabin says Aduana Football Club’s hopes of winning the betPawa Ghana Premier League title are over following their defeat to Dreams FC over the weekend.
The Dormaa-based side suffered a 0-1 loss to the Believers on matchday 32 of the Premier League at home sending them four points behind league leaders Medeama Sporting Club.
The defeat was Aduana’s second defeat in their last two games and means they now have to rely on Medeama dropping points in their last two games.
However, Aduana’s head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, believes there is no chance they win their third league title.
“I don’t know and I can’t tell [why the players didn’t play to instructions],” he told StarTimes.
“Of course, we are almost out. We are out. It is an obligation to play the two matches so we will play and see what happens.”
He added that his boys had mentally given up on the league title following last weekend’s defeat to Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“I don’t know what is wrong. I don’t know whether our boys think it’s over [after defeat against Accra Lions].”
Aduana are winless in their last four games and will face Nsoatreman and Bechem United in their last two games of the league season.
