History is not on the side of former President Mahama and the number of times he has held the Sword of the State, proves that he can’t be President of Ghana again, Mr. Koku Anyidoho has said referring to data.
Mr. Anyidoho, a former deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) explained on Wontumi TV that the maximum a President can hold the Sword of the State is twice but Mr. Mahama wants to do that thrice, which according to him would bring a “curse” on the nation.
He recalled that on 24th July, 2012, Mr. Mahama held the sword following the death of the late former President John Atta Mills and went on to hold it again on 7th January, 2013.
“You have taken that oath twice and Rawlings also did it twice. Kufuor also did it twice and Nana Akufo-Addo has said it twice. So John Mahama what do you want us to do for you again? Should we sit down for you to bring a curse to nation?” Koku rhetorically asked.
He observed that out of selfishness, former President John Mahama wants to wreck the nation.
He however promised that “I won’t allow Mahama to destroy the nation and I want to make it clear that I don’t belong to the NPP.”
