The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum better known as Arafat, has expressed disappointment in Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta for coming over to the constituency to allegedly campaign for his brother Jude Ofori Atta, against the incumbent MP, Arafat.
He disclosed that on the 9th of January, whiles some Ghanaians were threatening a dumsor demonstration which was orchestrated by some debt owed the Ghana Gas, the finance minister was also busy campaigning for his brother in the Fanteakwa South constituency for the upcoming Parliamentary primaries.
He alleged that Ken Ofori Atta was in the constituency under the guise of inspecting road and agenda 111 projects, yet that wasn’t the case.
“If indeed he was in the constituency to inspect projects, then as the Member of Parliament for the constituency, I should have been in the known. Neither was the road minister nor road engineers part of his entourage. He’s my constituent and I didn’t expect this from him…”, he said.
“How can Ofori-Atta do this to me. I was one of those who fought and defended him when some Members of Parliament had rose against him, calling for his head. For him to descend to that level, I’m very disappointed…”, emotional Arafat told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
