The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, Honourable, Kofi Okyere Agyekum, has questioned the possible of a Presidential candidate emerging victorious, when his campaign team is engulfed with people who never serve in any capacity in the party.
Although, the lawmaker failed to mention whom he was referring to. All fingers have been pointed to former Trade and Industry minister, Alan Kojo Kyeremanten, whose campaign team contains former MPs, MMDCEs, CEOs among others.
“How is it possible to fulfil your Presidential ambition when those who are helping you campaign couldn’t sustain their positions. What message at all are they going to tell delegates. Your presence with you raises a lot of eyebrows”, he spoke with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show.
The lawmaker is among those who have publicly declared their support for Dr. Bawumia, although he’s yet to publicly declare his ambitions.
Adding that “what we need now is someone who could help us break the eight- year jinx as a party. So, if you have people who have lost elections as your campaign members, how then could you be tipped as someone who could help the party realize its dream”.
