A former National Coordinator of Nasara, Abubakar Sulemana who is popularly known as Lakulaku has said he agrees with the majority’s decision to declare Hon Sarah Adwoa Safo’s seat vacant.
He said this when he joined Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show With Kwaku Dawuro.
He said, ‘’the party shouldn’t have given Adwoa Safo too much grace period. On several occasions she was asked to come back but she refused and ends up on Tiktok. The Dome-Kwabenya constituency is on the party’s top seat with 172,000 voters. We have protected the constituency all this while and we shall continue to protect it. The party will not allow her to joke with it”.
Adding to it, he stated, “I played an instrumental role in her victory. I advised and supported her because she was a woman who depicted strong desire to lead. She is one of the luckiest Member of Parliament (MP) who became a deputy leader and a Minister concurrently, meanwhile several people who have been in the party for long have not had such opportunities”.
Lakulaku went on to say that some of the people in the constituency are angry and at this point he agrees with the majority on considering another person who can lead the constituency.
Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo absented herself from her parliamentary duties more than 15 days of the mandatory leave and failed to appear before the Privilege Committee after several attempt.
Parliament however, will today, Thursday, 28th July 2022, decide the fate of Sarah Adwoa Safo, whether to declare her seat vacant or not.
