Chairman Wontumi has responded to false claims by former President John Mahama that his mining operations are illegal.
As a seasoned miner, the Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says he is wise enough to know that he needs proper documentation before engaging in mining.
Former President John Mahama has been on his campaign trail lying about the mining operations of Chairman Wontumi and this got the latter to respond to his comment.
“As a veteran miner, don’t I know how to get documents?” Chairman Wontumi rhetorically asked the former president on the Wontumi Morning Show.
He also asked Mr. John Mahama to keep his name out of his mouth and warned him not to delude himself into thinking that he is a “bogey man”.
“…and who even lied to you that you are the bogey man? If you are looking for someone to frighten do you think that fellow is Wontumi? You can come with your soldiers and test the waters. That should you come to power you will push…can you push Wontumi?”
