The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has revealed that he has adapted to new ways in his political life and frowns upon politics of insults.
Quoting from Paul, the The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
Chairman Wontumi stated on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Movementtvonline.com that his new ways is to foster unity in the party and not to respond to the actions of others who want to see the party divide in Ashanti region.
Ahead of the party’s elections to elect regional executives, Chairman Wontumi stated that he has told his followers not to insult other contestants vying for the Chairmanship position in Ashanti region.
“For now, I have changed my ways. We need unity more than ever, so even if you support me don’t insult my opponent. Use your energy to tell my opponents about my good works”, Chairman Wontumi said.
According to him, in the past, he would have fired back at his insult him but has come to a realization that such acts would break the unity in the party as they seek to win the 2024 national elections.
In the past I would have taken my opponents to the cleaners if they insulted me. Like Paul said, there is a time, you act like a child and another time, an adult.
