Ashanti regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said he has taken up responsibility to act as Regional Chairman for both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi disclosed in an interview on Wontumi TV that aside the NPP, he has massive interest in the daily activities of the NDC forcing him to pick up the new role.
“As a Chairman, I have taken it upon myself to decide for every political party. I am currently in Kumawu but I have my eyes on the NDC”, he said.
He also used the occasion to call on Ghanaians to help the NPP break the eight-years political cycle to allow development go on.
“We started with Malaysia and because they have one government being in power for long, development is able to take place. But the 8 year rule we have in Ghana is hurting us take Sofo Line project as an example, as soon as Kufuor left power, the NDC stopped the project and other related ones”, he said.
