The New Patriotic Party’s newly elected parliamentary candidate for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, has shut down news that his victory could be linked to sponsorship he received from a particular “camp” within the party.
He pleaded with the various factions within the NPP not to link him to their respective camps noting that “No candidate helped me win, it is the party people that made me.”
In an interview on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Ernest Yaw Anim explained that he has been campaigning and preaching “unity” and wouldn’t allow the issues of falsely claiming he belongs to a particular camp derail him.
“I am preaching the message of unity and I have friends across the various camps so I won’t pin my victory on one camp”, he said.
He indicated his willingness to serve the NPP and not the interest of any particular camp.
“I don’t belong to any of the factions that you have heard on air, I have only accepted to serve the party”, he said.
