I Don’t Have Any Connections With Galamsey-Protozoa

Professors Apply Data And Empirical Evidence; You Don’t- Protozoa Slams Frimpong Boateng Over Galamsey Allegation

Mr. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, also known as Protozoa, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region, has responded to allegations against him during a political debate organized by TV3 for candidates in the Suhum Constituency.

Addressing the claims, Protozoa expressed frustration over accusations made by Prof Frimpong Boateng, whom he referred to as the “Professor of Science,” criticizing the lack of evidence supporting the allegations.

He revealed that Prof Boateng had made what he called “spurious allegations” against him over the last three years, leading to an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Despite being summoned by the CID, the prof allegedly failed to provide concrete evidence to support his claims.

Protozoa criticized the situation, arguing that it is dangerous to expect the accused to prove their innocence without the accuser providing proof.

“The name of the game is evidence,” Protozoa remarked, insisting that the allegations were baseless and driven by desperation.

During the debate, Protozoa also took a firm stance against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, emphasizing his advocacy for climate change.

“I am a climate change activist.

There is no way I would undermine His Excellency the President, whom I served at the presidency.”

He also affirmed that there is no galamsey activity happening in Suhum, as far as he is aware.

Looking ahead to his plans for Suhum, Protozoa outlined several development initiatives, including a pledge to donate an incubator to the Suhum Hospital.

He also announced a partnership with a U.S.-based NGO to install oxygen systems at the hospital, ensuring that all beds are equipped with access to oxygen.

Additionally, Protozoa vowed to provide Suhum with an AstroTurf, citing the town’s significant voter population of approximately 80,000. “I swear to God, Suhum will get an Astroturf,” he assured the audience.
